  1. Filename                    Size Description
  2. xfd100.lha                   37K XFD Package 1.0 - This is the initial
  3.                                  release of the new XFD standard. Because
  4.                                  of some problems that have to be solved
  5.                                  first, this release doesn't contain the
  6.                                  includes  and autodocs for the
  7.                                  xfdmaster.library.
  8. xfh1_34.lha                 137K XFH-Handler 1.34 by Kristian Nielsen -
  9.                                  This is a DOS handler which uses
  10.                                  xpkmaster.library to provide transparent
  11.                                  access to compressed files in a given
  12.                                  directory or partition. All compression/
  13.                                  decompression is done automatically by the
  14.                                  handler when files are read or written.
  15. xpackit10.lha                 4K xPackIt 1.0 by Michael Barsoom - A cli
  16.                                  command to crunch and decrunch files using
  17.                                  xpk library.
  18. xpkdisk3.lha                 91K XPK disk v37.5 by Olaf 'Rhialto' Seibert.
  19.                                  This is an exec-style device that looks
  20.                                  like trackdisk.device and similar disks.
  21.                                  The  difference is that it compresses its
  22.                                  data  and stores it in multiple files in
  23.                                  an  existing filesystem. It uses the XPK
  24.                                  (eXternal PacKer) standard to do the
  25.                                  actual compression. This has many
  26.                                  advantages.
  27. xpkfast.lha                  18K xpkFAST 1.0 by Christian von Roques - This
  28.                                  is an XPK compression sublibrary whose
  29.                                  main purpose is to be fast. The most
  30.                                  interesting part of FAST is its speedy
  31.                                  compressor, which makes it predestined for
  32.                                  applications which compress about as often
  33.                                  as they decompress.
  34. xpkhfmn.lha                   3K xpkHFMN 1.16 by Martin Hauner - This XPK
  35.                                  sub-library uses the same algorithm
  36.                                  (dynamic huffman) as found in the
  37.                                  xpkHUFF.library. In difference to HUFF,
  38.                                  HFMN is FAST on  compression and
  39.                                  decompression and produces a slightly
  40.                                  better output. Although the basic
  41.                                  algorithm is the same, it is differently
  42.                                  implemented.
  43. xpkshri.lha                   6K SHRI - xpkSHRI.library 1.0 by Matthias
  44.                                  Meixner - This is an XPK packer sublibrary
  45.                                  which implements a highly for compression
  46.                                  rate optimized compressor, that uses
  47.                                  offset/len encoding with adaptive
  48.                                  arithmetic aftercoding for best
  49.                                  compression results.  Its compression rate
  50.                                  is better than that of most other packers,
  51.                                  e.g. lha, zoo etc.
  52. xpksmpl.lha                   3K XPKSMPL 1.0 - A dynamic huffman with delta
  53.                                  precoding by Jorma Oksanen - This is a XPK
  54.                                  sublibrary implementing dynamic huffman
  55.                                  coding over variations of datastream. Good
  56.                                  for Sample Compression.
